Victims are currently receiving medical attention, and police investigation is ongoing

Multan: In a shocking incident, a man threw acid on his wife and two sons during a domestic dispute in the Jalilabad district of Multan.
The incident occurred late on Monday evening and has sparked outrage in the community. An FIR (First Information Report) has been filed by the victim’s brother, Farhan Ikhlaq, at the Jalilabad police station.
According to the FIR, Farhan Ikhlaq was at his residence when he received a distress call from his grandson, informing him that acid had been thrown on his sister, Khadija Bano, and her two sons. He immediately rushed to the scene with his brother Nasir Iqbal, where they found Khadija in a severely distressed state, with her face burning and smoke coming from her hair. The room was also filled with smoke.
A woman present at the scene was seen pouring water on Khadija to ease her pain, while the brothers helped the two sons, who were also affected by the acid attack. The victims were quickly assisted in changing clothes and were later transferred to the hospital for medical treatment.
The two sons told Ikhlaq that their stepfather, Muhammad Majid, was responsible for the acid attack and had fled the scene after the incident. The motive behind the attack, as stated by Ikhlaq in the FIR, was a series of ongoing domestic disputes. Ikhlaq explained that the accused, Muhammad Majid, had often fought with Khadija and wanted to return to his first wife, leading him to seek a divorce from Khadija.
Rescue 1122 confirmed the incident, stating that it took place near the Dholat Gate Imam Bargah in the district. The emergency service received a call and immediately dispatched teams to the scene. Upon arrival, rescue personnel provided initial medical care to the victims and transported them to Nishter Hospital for further treatment.
Rescue 1122’s statement confirmed that the acid attack had caused significant damage to Khadija’s face and parts of her head. The victims are currently receiving medical attention, and the police investigation is ongoing.
