Out of 446 companies that trade shares, 255 see gains, 139 have losses, and 52 see no change in share prices

Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) saw a strong rise in stocks on Tuesday, with the KSE-100 index gaining 1,344 points. The index closed at 113,088.48 points, up from 111,743.53 points on the previous day, marking a 1.20% increase.
A total of 545 million shares were traded, compared to 511.194 million on the previous trading day. The value of shares traded was Rs20.741 billion, up from Rs19.635 billion the day before.
Analysts from Topline Securities said that the rise was mainly driven by companies like LUCK, ENGRO, OGDC, EFERT, and PPL, which together contributed 608 points to the overall gain. The KSE-100 index hit a high of 113,253 points during the day, dropped to an intraday low of 111,642 points, and closed at 113,088 points, gaining 1,345 points or 1.20%.

The top three trading companies were B.O. Punjab with 200.84 million shares traded at Rs13.23 per share, Power Cement with 25.77 million shares at Rs10.71 per share, and WorldCall Telecom with 21.84 million shares at Rs1.50 per share.
Rafhan Maize Products Company Limited saw the highest increase, rising by Rs140.28 per share to close at Rs9,529.61. Lucky Cement Limited came in second, with a Rs55.35 rise to close at Rs1,459.65.
