Barkhan: Armed men took seven passengers off the bus after seeing their identity cards and killed them in the Rakhni tehsil of Barkhan in Balochistan.
The incident took place on the highway connecting Rakhni to Dera Ghazi Khan. 10 to 12 terrorists stopped a passenger bus going from Quetta to Faisalabad, identified seven passengers, took them off, shot them, and fled.
The deceased belonged to different cities of Punjab.
Assistant Commissioner Barkhan Khadim Hussain said that seven passengers of the bus were taken off the bus and shot dead.
According to the Assistant Commissioner, the bus was going from Quetta to Faisalabad, Levies, and FC surrounded the area. The bodies are being shifted to Rakhni Hospital.
Talking to the media, bus passenger Zeeshan said that 10-12 armed men stopped the bus and then shot and killed seven passengers.
Zeeshan said that his brother Adnan was also taken off the bus and killed. He was taken off the bus after seeing his identity card.
In addition, the female passengers of the affected family also said that they were going from Quetta to Faisalabad, their brother's identity card was seen and he was pushed off the bus.
On the other hand, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti condemned the brutal killing of seven passengers in Barkhan and said that terrorists are targeting innocent and unarmed people.
He stated that the cowardly attack of the enemies of peace is unbearable. A strong response will be given. The terrorists who martyred Pakistanis will be brought to justice.
According to the Balochistan government spokesperson, FC and Levies have reached the scene after the Barkhan incident and the security forces are continuing to pursue the terrorists.
