Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that those who harmed unarmed citizens will have to pay a heavy price.
In a statement, Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the killing of passengers by terrorists in the Rurkan area of Barkhan city of Balochistan and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased.
He also directed that the criminals be brought to justice as soon as possible.
The Prime Minister stated that those who harmed the lives and property of unarmed and innocent citizens would have to pay a heavy price. The sacrifices of innocent citizens will never be allowed to go in vain. The government and security forces are actively working to completely eradicate terrorism from the country.
On the other hand, President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the incident and said that the killing of innocent people was a cowardly and heinous act.
Asif Ali Zardari stated that terrorist elements are enemies of peace and humanity and want to sabotage the peace of Balochistan. He directed that the criminals be brought to justice as soon as possible and prayed for forgiveness for the deceased and patience and fortitude for the families.
It is pertinent to note that in the Rurkan area of Barkhan city of Balochistan, armed men took seven passengers off the bus after checking their identity cards and killed them. The deceased belong to different cities of Punjab.
