Exams for students in 9th and 10th grades will now begin on April 7, while exams for 11th and 12th-grade students are set to start on May 28


Karachi: In light of the upcoming month of Ramadan, the Sindh government has announced a revision to the examination schedule for students. The new dates have been adjusted to accommodate the holy month and the upcoming Eid festivities.
According to the latest update, the exams for students in the 9th and 10th grades will now begin on April 7, while the exams for 11th and 12th-grade students are set to start on May 28. This rescheduling follows the government's decision to postpone the originally planned March exams to after Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr.
In addition to changes in the academic calendar, the Sindh government has also extended the teacher recruitment process in the province. The new deadline for completing the recruitment is now set for June 30. This decision was made as part of the provincial government's ongoing efforts to address staffing shortages in schools across the region.
An important development also emerged from a recent meeting chaired by Sindh's Provincial Minister for Education, Syed Sardar Shah. In this meeting, a directive was issued to dismiss 5,000 teachers who have been continuously absent from their duties. The move is part of the government's initiative to improve the quality of education and ensure that students receive the proper attention they need.
