It recommended monthly tax of Rs20,000 for big shopkeepers

Islamabad: Pakistan Business Forum has demanded that the government introduce a fixed tax regime in the budget for traders.
Chief Organizer Pakistan Business Forum Ahmed Jawad demanded that the government introduce a fixed tax regime in the budget for traders, saying that the trader-friendly scheme has not yielded the desired results.
The Pakistan Business Forum leader has recommended a monthly tax of Rs20,000 for big shopkeepers and Rs 10,000 for small shopkeepers while demanding the imposition of a fixed tax of Rs5,000 on shopkeepers in villages and small towns.
He said that to meet the targets, the fixed tax can be collected from electricity bills, and there should be no further questions from the traders after paying the fixed tax.
The Pakistan Business Forum demanded that if the economy is to be run, the fixed tax regime should be implemented without pressure.
