Accused issued fake appointment letters to two women


Karachi: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi has arrested a person who provided fake documents for US visa.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the accused involved in providing fake documents to citizens to obtain US visas was arrested on a written complaint from the US Consulate Karachi. The accused has been identified as Umair Aslam.
According to the initial investigation, the accused issued fake appointment letters to two women. The accused also issued fake bank transaction slips of visa processing fees to the women. The arrested accused was working in a travel agency located in North Nazimabad and grabbed a total of Rs134,000 from the women.
The FIA reported that the affected citizens revealed during interrogation that the accused received the money in cash and sent fake documents through WhatsApp. The said transaction slip was declared fake by the private bank. The US consulate authorities filed a written complaint against the said agent, upon which the FIA acted and arrested the accused. Further investigation is underway against the accused.
