Ramadan: 4,340 prisoners granted release in UAE

Dubai: 4,340 prisoners are being released in the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of Ramadan.

According to Arab media, this move aims to bring happiness to people during the holy month.

The pardon of prisoners' sentences has been announced by the President, Prime Minister, and various leaders of the United Arab Emirates.

The prisoners being released belong to different nationalities and have been selected based on their good morals and positive behavior.

On the other hand, Saudi Arabian King Salman also directed to reduce the sentences of prisoners, after which many were released.

According to Arab media, the Saudi Ministry of Interior has started implementing the amnesty procedure for these prisoners. This step has been taken to release male and female prisoners and send them back to their families.

Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud has instructed the relevant authorities to take necessary steps to immediately implement the generous royal order.

Saudi King Salman, in his address to the citizens of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the arrival of the month of Ramadan, said that we thank Allah that we have reached the blessed month of Ramadan.

He stated that this is the month of mercy, forgiveness, and freedom from hell. We thank Allah Almighty that this blessed country gets the opportunity to serve the Two Holy Mosques and their pilgrims.

It is pertinent to note that today is the first day of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia and UAE.
