CTD conducted 162 IBOs in different cities of Punjab


Lahore: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) saved Lahore from a major disaster by taking action.
CTD Punjab arrested 20 terrorists from different cities of Punjab, including two Fitna Al-Khawarij from Lahore, during various Intelligence-Based Operations (IBOs).
According to the CTD spokesperson, because of the concerns of terrorism, CTD conducted 162 IBOs in different cities of Punjab. The operations were carried out in Lahore, Faisalabad, Khanewal, Bahawalnagar, Rawalpindi, Chiniot, Mianwali, Sahiwal, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Bahawalpur, and Hafizabad.
The CTD spokesperson said that in the operations, two Fitna Al-Khawarij members were arrested from Lahore while a dangerous terrorist, Manmohan Singh, was arrested from Rawalpindi who belongs to Rahim Yar Khan.
The spokesman stated that explosives, three IED bombs, 23 detonators, 61 feet of safety fuse wire, controversial pamphlets, cash, and mobile phones were recovered from the terrorists. The terrorists were identified as Saleh Raza, Muhammad Riaz, Abu Bakr, Bowal Khan, Muhammad Yunus, Usman, and Manmohan Singh etc.
The authorities further informed that 495 suspects were arrested during 2,231 combing operations this week, and 87,565 people were questioned.
