Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar takes immediate notice of attack and orders an investigation


KARACHI: Three policemen were injured when unknown suspects riding a motorcycle threw a hand grenade at Preedy police station in the South Zone.
The grenade exploded with a loud bang, damaging a high-roof and a car parked at the police station. The explosion caused panic in the area.
The police immediately called the Bomb Disposal Squad and Crime Scene Unit for investigation and safety measures. The injured cops were identified as Arshad, Aamir, and Riaz, and their condition is reported to be stable.
SSP South Mahzoor Ali confirmed to the media that the attack took place late last night when the grenade was thrown at the police station. No group has taken responsibility for the attack yet. He also mentioned that efforts are underway to gather CCTV footage from nearby cameras to help identify the attackers. The grenade used in the attack was identified as an RGD-5.
