Quetta: A gas leakage explosion in a house in the Pashtunabad area of Quetta has left two people dead, including a woman, and five others injured.
The explosion, believed to have been caused by a gas leak, occurred at around 3 a.m. after the gas supply was restored following a power outage. The blast caused severe damage to the house, shattering walls, windows, and doors.
Police reported that the bodies of the deceased, along with the injured, were transferred to the Civil Hospital. After completing legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to their relatives. Among the injured were children, who were also rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
Relatives of the victims confirmed that the explosion took place shortly after the gas supply was resumed, following a period of load-shedding. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the gas leakage and the blast.
