WhatsApp introduces new grid and vertical layouts for emoji reactions
New design displays four reactions per row, saving space and reducing need for scrolling through long lists

(Web Desk): WhatsApp is introducing a new and improved emoji reaction panel for its chats, groups, and channels, which is now available to beta testers. The update can be accessed through the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.25.6.15, which is available on the Google Play Store.
The updated emoji reaction panel makes it easier for users to quickly find and use reactions by organizing them in a cleaner layout. Previously, emoji reactions appeared in a long vertical list, which could become quite overwhelming, especially in channels where many people react to messages. The new design displays four reactions per row, saving space and reducing the need for scrolling through long lists.
For chats and groups, the reactions will still be shown in a vertical list format, which also includes the names of people who reacted. However, WhatsApp has redesigned the tab at the top of the page, giving it a more modern look.
In channels, where follower identities are kept private unless they are saved contacts, reactions will be displayed in a new grid layout. In chats and groups, where user info is more relevant, the vertical list will remain but with an updated design for a fresher appearance.
This update will be available to more users in the coming weeks.
