PIA has already started finalizing arrangements to ensure smooth operations for these routes

(Web Desk): Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced new two-way flights from Lahore to Skardu and Gilgit, starting on March 31, 2025.
This move is aimed at boosting tourism in northern Pakistan. Flights from Lahore to Gilgit will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, while Lahore to Skardu flights will be available on Thursdays and Sundays. PIA has already started finalizing arrangements to ensure smooth operations for these routes.
In another update, PIA is getting ready to resume direct flights to the United Kingdom (UK). The airline is making preparations to use Terminal 4 at London’s Heathrow Airport for its flights. PIA is hopeful that the UK government will soon lift the ban on its flights.
The UK’s Department for Transport (DFT) is expected to finish an audit of Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) before making a final decision. Once the ban is lifted, PIA plans to restart direct flights from Islamabad to London and Manchester with Boeing 777 aircraft.
