Hindu community celebrating Holi today

Lahore: The Hindu community across the world, including Pakistan, will celebrate its colorful religious festival Holi with great enthusiasm today.

Holi, a Hindu religious festival celebrated on the arrival of spring, is also called the ‘festival of colors’. Holi celebrations last for two days. On the first day, various rituals are performed and on the second day, colors are scattered, and children and adults throw colors at each other.

Across the country, especially in the areas of Mithi, Hyderabad, Jacobabad, and Tharparkar in Sindh province, members of the Muslim community participate in the Holi ceremony along with Hindus, expressing tolerance and religious harmony.

On the other hand, on the occasion of the Holi festival, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt congratulations to the Hindu community across Pakistan on the joyous occasion of Holi. He said that this festival, which announces the arrival of spring and symbolizes the victory of love and goodness, gives a sense of dynamic energy.

He added that while celebrating new beginnings and the strength of renewed relationships, this day highlights the importance of building a stronger, more united nation and the inclusion of all citizens. May this festival of colors fill your lives with happiness, health, success, and prosperity.
