It will be constructed for £190 million transferred to national exchequer by SC


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that 100 acres of land have been allocated for Danish University that will make the country famous on the global level.
Speaking during a visit to the site of the University in Islamabad, he stated that the Danish University of Emerging Sciences will be on par with the world’s top-ranking universities in terms of standards.
Prime Minister emphasized the importance of quality education for all to elevate the country to new heights.
Shehbaz Sharif added that it will be constructed for 190 million pounds transferred to the national exchequer by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
He further said the first section of the University will be made operational on August 14 next year.
The Prime Minister emphasized that applied sciences will be the pivot of this University and this initiative will change the destiny of the country.
Shehbaz Sharif also stated the government will not interfere in the function and operations of the University, assuring that only brilliant students will get admission purely on merit and that the deserving students will get free education.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said that the Danish University of Emerging Sciences will provide such a workforce that will be future technology leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs. He said technology-based start-ups will emerge from this institution and it will prepare Pakistan for the 4th and 5th Industrial Revolutions.
Minister for Education Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui highlighted that the government is taking significant steps to promote quality education across the country. He also mentioned that the network of Danish Schools is being expanded.
