All public and private schools and colleges in Sindh will remain closed on March 22


Karachi: The School Education and Literacy Department (SELD) Sindh has announced a holiday on Saturday, March 22, to observe Youm-e-Hazrat Ali (R.A).
According to a notification issued on Tuesday, all public and private schools and colleges in Sindh will remain closed on this day (Ramazan 21). The notification, shared on X, mentioned that this decision was made during a meeting of the Sub-Committee of the Steering Committee on Education, held on November 28, 2024.
The notice stated that all educational institutions under the control of the School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, will be closed on March 22, 2025, for Youm-e-Hazrat Ali (R.A).
Meanwhile, Muslims across Pakistan are observing Youm-e-Ali (R.A) with devotion. Authorities have implemented strict security measures for public safety.
In Karachi, the central procession will start at Nishtar Park and end at Imambargah Hussainia in Kharadar, with traffic diversions. Extra surveillance cameras have been installed for security.
In Islamabad, the main procession will start from Imambargah Qasar Zainabya.
