Project will help increase financial inclusion in small businesses and rural areas


Washington: The World Bank has approved a loan of $102 million for Pakistan.
The amount approved by the World Bank for Pakistan will be for poor farmers affected by climate change. With this amount, small loans will be given to people affected by climate change.
A statement issued by the World Bank said that the money aims to increase the income of people affected by climate change and the money is part of the World Bank’s 10-year Country Partnership Program.
The statement said that the project will help increase financial inclusion in small businesses and rural areas.
The World Bank Country Director says that microfinance is an important source of financial assistance to the poor. 1.89 million people, including 1 million women, will benefit from this project.
According to the World Bank Country Director, 54 projects are underway in Pakistan with the support of the World Bank. The total investment of the World Bank in Pakistan has reached $15.7 billion
