WhatsApp to make major changes in messages
Company will test limiting the number of broadcast messages for individual users

California: WhatsApp, the messaging platform owned by Meta, has made an important announcement to stop spam messages.
According to WhatsApp, the number of broadcast messages that individual users and businesses can send is limited to prevent spam messages on the app.
Over the next few weeks, the company will test limiting the number of broadcast messages for individual users.
WhatsApp will determine the monthly number of such broadcast messages. For example, Meta will allow 30 broadcast messages per month.
According to Meta, users can use status updates or channels if they want to send more messages to a larger number of people.
The company is considering similar measures for business accounts.
Currently, WhatsApp Business accounts can send unlimited broadcast messages for free, but the company may introduce a paid version with some additional tools in the future.
In the coming months, Meta will be testing new customized broadcast messages for product updates, while users using business accounts will also be able to schedule messages.
During the trial period, businesses will be able to send 250 messages for free and after that, they will have to pay a fee for additional messages.
Over the past few years, the WhatsApp Business app has become an asset for Meta and is increasing in revenue.
Along with the changes to broadcast messages, the company is also changing the logo for the WhatsApp Business app.
