44 people were killed and many injured in a terrorist attack on a mosque in the African country of Niger.
According to a foreign news agency, terrorists attacked a mosque in the rural town of Kokoro, Niger, on Friday.
According to the Ministry of Interior, the terrorists carried out the attack in the afternoon when people were praying in the mosque. The terrorists surrounded the mosque and targeted people, and the attackers also set fire to the local market and houses.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Interior said that 44 people were killed and 13 people were injured in the terrorist attack.
The ministry has expressed its determination to arrest the attackers and bring them to justice.
The government of Niger has declared three days of mourning after the death of 44 citizens in the terrorist attack.
