Third attack on Lakki Marwat police station this week foiled

Lakki Marwat: The police foiled the third attack by armed men on a police station in a week in Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

An exchange of fire took place between the police and the attackers who fled after the police retaliated vigorously.

According to the police, unidentified armed men attacked the Dara Pezo police station in Lakki Marwat. An exchange of fire also took place between the police and the attackers. Heavy weapons and rocket launchers were used by both sides. The attackers fled after the police retaliated promptly.

There were no police casualties in the attack. An operation has been launched in the area to arrest the attackers. This is the third attack on Dara Pezo police station this week.

It is pertinent to note that police stations and police personnel are the targets of terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa these days, and frequent attacks on police stations, police personnel, and Khawarij are also ongoing in Lakki Marwat. A few days ago, three police personnel were injured in an explosion on a police mobile.

On the other hand, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has praised the police for foiling the terrorist attack on the police station in Lakki Marwat. He said that the police bravely fought the Khawarij terrorists.
