No police personnel were injured in attack

Taunsa: Terrorists attacked a police check post in Jhangi, a border area between Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to DPO Dera Ghazi Khan Syed Ali Kazmi, the terrorists fired rockets at the Jhangi police post, after which the police retaliated with the help of thermal cameras.
Police said that one terrorist was killed in a vigorous and effective operation while the rest fled.
No police personnel were injured in the attack.
It is pertinent to note that this is the eighth attack by terrorists in the border areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this month.
Earlier, the Punjab Police carried out a major operation against criminals in the Kachcha area of Rahim Yar Khan yesterday and killed dangerous dacoits Shah Mir alias Mira Kosh and Hakeem Kosh.
The slain dacoits were the main accused in the killing of 12 police personnel in Kachcha Machcha last year.
On August 22 last year, dacoits attacked Machcha and martyred 12 police personnel.
