Mark Carney requested Governor General to dissolve Parliament and announce an election on April 28

Ottawa: Canada's newly elected Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced early elections.
According to a foreign news agency, Canada's new Prime Minister Mark Carney announced early elections on Sunday, April 28, to provide a strong mandate to his government.
Mark Carney said that he has requested the Governor General to dissolve Parliament and announce an election on April 28.
There will be a close competition between the Liberal Party and the Conservative Party for 343 seats in the Canadian elections.
The Canadian Prime Minister proposed a tax cut for the middle class and said that US President Trump wants to break us so that he can rule us, we are facing a crisis due to Trump's unfair tariffs and trade measures.
It is pertinent to note that on March 14, Mark Carney, the leader of Canada's ruling Liberal Party, was sworn in as the country's 24th Prime Minister.
With this, Justin Trudeau's nearly 10-year tenure came to an end.
Justin Trudeau announced his resignation as Prime Minister in January under pressure over inflation and threats of a trade war with the United States.
