Accused used to earn $300,000 to $400,000 every month through fraud


Karachi: The Mustafa murder case has progressed and the accused Armaghan was found to be involved in hawala hundi, after which a case has been registered against the accused in the Anti-Money Laundering Circle on the government's complaint.
According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), the accused Armaghan was found to be involved in various things including hawala hundi and digital currency.
According to the text of the case, the accused used to earn 300,000 to 400,000 dollars every month through fraud and then converted that money into digital currency. The vehicles owned by the accused were also purchased with digital currency money.
It was revealed in the First Information Report (FIR) that the accused had opened bank accounts in the names of two of his employees, calls were made to America from the accused's call center, important information was obtained from American citizens through the calls, after which money was collected from American citizens through fraud.
According to the FIR, the money withdrawn through fraud reached the accused Armaghan.
The FIR said that Armaghan established his illegal call center in 2018. He was running an organized fraud network from the call center and each person in the call center used to defraud five people daily.
According to the FIR, the accused has three vehicles worth millions of rupees while he has sold five. Armaghan also formed a company in the US with his father for Hawala Hundi.
It is pertinent to note that Mustafa Amir was kidnapped on January 6 and then a month later on February 8, the police raided a bungalow in the Defense Khayaban-e-Momin area of Karachi to recover Mustafa Amir, during which police were also fired at and three personnel including the DSP were injured in the encounter.
The police took the accused Armaghan into custody, who revealed during interrogation that he, along with Shiraz, had put Mustafa in the trunk of his car and set it on fire.
