US has given deadline of April 24 to leave country

Washington: The United States has announced the termination of the legal status of more than 500,000 immigrants.
According to a foreign news agency, the Trump administration has announced the termination of the legal status of more than 500,000 immigrants with a deadline of April 24 to leave the country.
President Donald Trump has expressed his determination to carry out the largest deportation campaign in the country's history and especially to control immigrants from Latin American countries.
According to the report, the US President's order will affect immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela (CHNV) who came to the United States under a scheme launched by former President Joe Biden.
The presidential order in this regard is to be published on Tuesday and these individuals will lose their legal protection 30 days after the US President's order is published in the Federal Register.
The presidential order means that immigrants under this program must leave the United States by April 24 unless they have obtained another immigration status that allows them to stay in the country.
According to the report, the ‘Welcome US’ program, which helps people seeking asylum in the United States, has urged those affected to consult an immigration lawyer ‘immediately’.
According to the news agency, the CHNV program, announced for citizens of Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, was launched in January 2023, under which a maximum of 30,000 people from these countries were allowed to come to the United States each month for two years.
