Jeddah: The crescent moon of the month of Zul Hijjah has not been spotted in Saudi Arabia on Friday, meaning Saudi Arabia will celebrate Eid Al-Adha on July 20.

In Saudi, the first day of Zul Hijjah will be on July 11, while July 10 will be the last day of Zul Qaadah. The Day of Arafat will fall on July 19 this year.
Spotting the moon determines the days of Haj and Eid Al-Adha, which is celebrated on the 10th of Zul Hijjah every year.
Zul Hijjah is the last month of the Islamic calendar.
Earlier, the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Departments of Government of Dubai had said that Arafat Day is to be marked on Monday, July 19, 2021.
However, Tuesday, July 20, will be the first day of Eid Al Adha in the UAE.
Based on these forecasts UAE residents will have a six-day long break this month with four-day Eid holidays from July 19 to July 22, followed by two-day weekend on July 23 and 24.
In Pakistan, if the new moon is sighted today (Saturday July 10) then Muslims in country and Bangladesh will celebrate Eid al Adha on Tuesday July 20, 2021.
This if happens will be along with Muslims in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey and other Gulf states.
If the new moon is not sighted today, then Eid al Adha in Pakistan, Bangladesh and other South Asian countries will be celebrated on Wednesday July 21, 2021.
