Dubai: The authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have arrested 10 Pakistanis, including five women, for begging.
UAE authorities have informed Pakistani authorities about this.
According to media reports, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) stated that three women, Amna Bibi, Kausar Bibi, and Farzana Bibi, residents of Vehari district of Punjab, and Jamila Bibi and Zubaida Bibi, residents of Lahore, were arrested while begging during various operations in the UAE. They were sent to jail. Preparations are being made to deport them to Pakistan.
According to officials, in similar operations, Muhammad Zakaria, a resident of DG Khan, Wasim Haider of Bahawalnagar, Muhammad Usman of Lahore, Ijaz Khan of Charsadda, and Abdullah of Peshawar were also arrested while begging.
Officials said that emergency passports have been prepared for these people to report to Pakistan and they will be arrested and action will be taken on their arrival in Pakistan.
