Relief goods include 565 tents, 210 tarpaulins, and 2,000 blankets


Islamabad: The first consignment of relief goods for the earthquake victims of Myanmar will leave today.
The first consignment of 35 tons of relief goods from Pakistan will be sent to Myanmar from Islamabad International Airport today. The relief goods include 565 tents, 210 tarpaulins, and 2,000 blankets.
The relief goods also include one ton of ready-to-eat food, 0.5 ton of medicines, and 10 water modules.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has instructed to send relief goods in response to the situation arising out of the severe earthquake in Myanmar.
It is pertinent to note that yesterday, Shehbaz Sharif contacted his Myanmar counterpart Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, and expressed deep sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives and property due to the earthquake.
It should be noted that the terrible earthquake that struck Myanmar and Thailand a few days ago has caused devastation. The death toll from the earthquake has exceeded 2,000, and there is a risk that the death toll will increase further, while more than 4,000 are injured and more than 400 people are still missing.
