Shehbaz Sharif formed three-member Hajj Administrative Committee


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took notice of the issue of timely arrangements for Hajj pilgrims under the private scheme and non-compliance with Saudi policy.
Taking notice of the timely arrangements for Hajj pilgrims for the quota of 70,000 pilgrims under the private scheme and non-compliance with Saudi policy, Shehbaz Sharif formed a three-member Hajj Administrative Committee.
According to the notification, the committee, comprising the Secretary Cabinet, Chairman of the Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR), and Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan, will submit its recommendations to the Prime Minister within three days.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony will provide secretariat support to the committee.
The committee will investigate the non-implementation of Saudi Arabia’s Hajj policy by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and private Hajj operators. The committee will review the efforts of the Ministry of Religious Affairs to complete the required formalities for private Hajj operators.
