Lahore: The prices of chicken, mutton, and beef could not be controlled in Lahore city.
The official rate of live chicken is Rs383 per kg and is being sold for Rs515 per kg in Lahore, the capital of Punjab.
The official rate of chicken meat is Rs595, while it is being sold for Rs760 per kg.
On the other hand, the official rate of mutton in the city is fixed at Rs1,600 and is being sold for Rs1,000 more, i.e. Rs2,600 per kg.
The citizens of Lahore say that shopkeepers are not following the official rate list.
