Suspect has been charged with theft and violation of a protective order

Washington: A man was arrested for stealing his ex-girlfriend's pet chicken, and the video of his arrest went viral on the internet.
This unusual incident took place last week in a region of Washington state when a woman called 911 to report that her ex had entered her home and taken her pet chicken, named Polly.
According to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office, the woman claimed that her ex made noise while leaving the house, saying, "I have Polly," and then disappeared into the nearby woods. Police immediately arrived at the scene and began searching the area. During the search, body camera footage from the police officers emerged, showing them searching for the man hiding in the dense forest.
Eventually, the suspect was found in the woods, crying, holding Polly in his arms. "Don't hurt my chicken," he pleaded with the officers. One officer reassured him, saying, "Don’t worry, I won’t harm your chicken. Just show your hands and come out." The suspect eventually complied with the officers' orders and was arrested. Before his arrest, the police allowed him to safely place Polly into a police car.
Later, the sheriff's office confirmed that the chicken was unharmed and was returned to its rightful owner.
The suspect has been charged with theft and violation of a protective order.
This bizarre incident, while providing some humor to people, also serves as a reminder that sometimes human emotions and relationship complexities lead to such extraordinary situations.
