Meta launches new AI model
Llama 4 Maverick and Llama 4 Scout are open source software

Meta has launched the latest versions of its Large Language AI Model (LLM) Llama, called Llama 4 Scout and Llama 4 Maverick.
Meta announced the launch, saying that Llama is a multimodal AI system that is capable of processing and integrating a variety of data types, including text, video, images, and audio, and can convert content to other formats.
Meta said that these language models are its most advanced AI models to date and are best-in-class for multimodality.
Meta added that Llama 4 Maverick and Llama 4 Scout are open source software. The company also said that these AI models are trained by the Llama 4 behemoth, which, according to the company, is “one of the world’s most intelligent large language models and is designed to serve as a teacher for new models”.
It is pertinent to note that after the success of OpenAI’s ChatGPT, big tech companies are aggressively investing in AI infrastructure, which has transformed the tech landscape and boosted investment in machine learning.
