Lahore: The Punjab government has declared a public holiday in Lahore on April 12 in connection with the Mela Chiraghan.
A notification issued by the Punjab Department of Services and General Administration (Welfare) has stated that there will be a public holiday in the Lahore district on April 12, 2025, in connection with the annual Urs (Mela Chiraghan) of Hazrat Shah Hussain.
The notification made it clear to the general citizens that there will be a public holiday in the entire district in connection with the annual Urs of Hazrat Shah Hussain and this will apply only at the Lahore level and to the sub-offices located in the city.
It has been further stated that this holiday will not apply to the Punjab Civil Secretariat, affiliated institutions, and regional offices.
