PM wishes to work with US to strengthen bilateral relations

Islamabad: A US delegation led by Eric Meyer met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in which the Pakistani PM expressed his desire to work with the US administration to strengthen bilateral relations.

The US delegation, which visited Pakistan to participate in the Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum (PMIF), met with Shehbaz Sharif under the leadership of Eric Meyer.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan has vast potential in the minerals sector, and American companies should benefit from investment opportunities in this priority sector.

He expressed his desire to work with the US administration to strengthen bilateral relations with the US and emphasized the importance of increasing cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including trade and investment.

Shehbaz Sharif said this is another good news for the nation. The national airline has made a profit for the first time in 20 years, which is a big change after decades of losses. It is welcome that the future is bright, the efforts of the team led by the aviation minister are commendable.

The US delegation congratulated Pakistan on the successful holding of the Pakistan Mineral Investment Forum and acknowledged the vast potential of Pakistan's mineral sector.

Eric Meyer informed the Prime Minister about the interest of American companies in investment and also expressed his desire to work with Pakistan on issues of common interest, saying that the US is keen to further promote bilateral relations with Pakistan.
