Weather turns pleasant as early morning rain hits Lahore

Lahore: The early morning rain made the weather pleasant in different areas.

On Friday morning, rain lashed various areas in Lahore including Mall Road, Garhi Shahu, Mughalpura, Laxmi Chowk, Gowalmandi, Samanabad, Gulberg, Model Town, and Township.

Thunderstorms accompanied by clouds fell in Kasur and its surroundings, due to which the weather became pleasant.

Wind and rain have also occurred in Gujrat, Faisalabad, Jhang, Bannu, and Karak in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa which controlled the intensity of the heat.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain hot and dry in other parts of the country today. Intermittent rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Potohar region, Islamabad, northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
