The US State Department says that sanctions have been imposed on Jagwinder Singh, an Indian citizen living in the UAE, as his companies are accused of assisting in the transportation of Iranian oil.

US officials say that Jagwinder Singh’s ships have been delivering oil to the National Iranian Oil Company and the Iranian military.
It is pertinent to note that earlier the US imposed sanctions on five more Iranian entities and one person yesterday.
The US State Department said that the entities and individuals sanctioned are related to Iran's nuclear program. This move is part of President Trump's pressure on Iran regarding the nuclear deal. Those who support Iran's nuclear program will continue to be held accountable.
