(Web Desk): In two separate incidents, unidentified assailants opened fire in Nowshera, resulting in the deaths of a senior civil judge and a lawyer, while in Kohat, former district nazim Malik Asad was killed in an armed attack.
The incident involving the senior civil judge took place near Rashakai Interchange in Nowshera.
According to sources, Senior Civil Judge (Admin) Mardan, Hayat—originally from Kalam—and lawyer Khalid Khan were killed when unknown gunmen opened fire near the Rashakai Interchange.
Sources said the attackers targeted the vehicle near the interchange. The judge and his colleague were reportedly on their way to Peshawar for some work.
The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to Mardan Medical Complex. A case has been registered at the Risalpur police station.
In a separate incident, former district nazim of Kohat, Malik Asad, was killed in an armed attack.
According to sources, unidentified assailants opened fire on Malik Asad’s vehicle, fatally wounding him. Police reported that some of Malik Asad’s companions were injured in the attack.
