Flooding hits local streams and canals, with floodwaters flowing across parts of the Pak-Afghan highway

(Web Desk): Heavy rains accompanied by thunder and lightning in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have caused flooding in streams and canals.
In Khyber, heavy rain, strong winds, and hailstorms were reported in Landi Kotal and surrounding areas. The intense rainfall brought a significant drop in temperature, making the weather extremely pleasant and breaking the heatwave.
Due to the rain in Khyber, flooding occurred in the local streams and canals, and floodwaters flowed across multiple parts of the Pak-Afghan highway. In Landi Kotal Bazaar, the rainwater even swept away a Suzuki van, but fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Additionally, in Lower Dir, a spell of rain with thunder and lightning began, bringing relief from the heat and making the weather pleasant. However, the heavy rainfall caused flooding in local waterways, and the water level in the Panjkora River rose significantly. The downpour also disrupted the power supply, with several feeders tripping.
In Takht Bhai, dark clouds blanketed the sky, creating an evening-like atmosphere during the day, while heavy rain continued in the area.
