Lahore: A large number of residents in Lahore are being affected by flu with symptoms similar to COVID-19, and in many households, 3 to 4 people are reported to be ill.
According to pulmonologist Dr. Irfan, around 35% of patients in Lahore are presenting with flu, cold, cough, and fever. He added that the symptoms resemble those of COVID-19 and the flu is spreading from person to person. Dr. Irfan advises that patients with flu must wear a mask.
He further stated that there is no need to take antibiotics for the flu. Instead, patients should take fever-reducing and anti-allergy medication and get adequate rest. According to him, the flu usually resolves within 3 to 4 days.
