He said that today's peace and freedom are due to the sacrifices of these martyrs

Rawalpindi: Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has said that respect for martyrs is sacred for every Pakistani.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir attended the awards ceremony at GHQ where officers and soldiers were awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz Military and the Medal of Bravery.

On this occasion, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir said that martyrs and ghazis are our pride. The sacrifices of martyrs for the motherland are unparalleled and unforgettable.

Syed Asim Munir said that today's peace and freedom are due to the sacrifices of these martyrs.

The ISPR has also released more details of General Syed Asim Munir’s address to the Overseas Pakistanis Convention.
Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir harshly criticized the irresponsible use of social media and said that the Quran says that when you receive any information, do your research thoroughly, but social media is ‘forwarded as received’, that is, it forwards the news without verification.
He stated that whoever instigates rebellion in Pakistan’s security institutions is the enemy of Pakistan. A handful of terrorists cannot stop Pakistan from moving towards a bright future.
The Army Chief added that a country in which all institutions work according to the constitution and law is called a hard state. We should not lose hope and should not be disappointed.
