(Web Desk): An 80-year-old Egyptian athlete recently wed a 79-year-old woman athlete. The couple's ages were verified through their birth certificates.
According to a report published by Al Arabiya Urdu, Nadia is a professional swimmer and is currently participating in the Egyptian Masters Swimming Championship. She recently married her close friend Youssef.
Nadia and Youssef’s story quickly went viral on social media after Nadia’s son-in-law, Kareem, shared a heartwarming photo of the elderly couple’s wedding.
Alongside the wedding photo, Kareem shared a touching caption, writing: “Of all the weddings I’ve attended, this one was by far the most extraordinary.”
In his post, Kareem also revealed that the newlyweds plan to go on a honeymoon, after which they will focus on completing a master’s thesis and participating in an athletic championship.
According to Arab media, the bride Nadia shared a beautiful sentiment: "Age is nothing more than a number written on a birth certificate. Youth lives in the heart. As long as your heart beats, you should live every moment of life fully and keep chasing your dreams."
