Hussainabad: Two young women tragically lost their lives on Thursday after being hit by an upcountry-bound train in the Hussainabad area, police said.
According to Station House Officer (SHO) Imtiaz Larik, the exact cause of the incident is still unclear. “It is not yet confirmed whether they were crossing the tracks or something else happened,” he stated.
There are unconfirmed reports suggesting the women may have been trying to record a video of the train when the accident occurred.
The victims were identified as 26-year-old Sohni, daughter of Kishan, and 28-year-old Rashna, daughter of Mohammad Qasim.
Rescue 1122 officials shifted their bodies to Liaquat University Hospital (LUH) in Hyderabad, where they were handed over to their families. The SHO confirmed that no postmortem was carried out.
