NDMA advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel


Islamabad: Heavy rain and hail are expected to hit different parts of the country today and tomorrow.
Severe weather warnings have been issued in several areas of Punjab, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Attock, Chakwal, Gujarat, and Jhelum can have thunderstorms and hail.
According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Faisalabad, Hafizabad, Jhang, Khushab, and Mianwali may also be affected by severe weather. A weather alert has also been issued for Lahore, Narowal, Sahiwal, Sargodha, and Sheikhupura.
The NDMA has advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel.
On the other hand, rain and snowfall are likely in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the next 48 hours.
According to the NDMA, there is a risk of landslides and avalanches in mountainous areas due to rain and snowfall.
