PPP Saba Talpur secured 161,934 votes


Umerkot: The Returning Officer has announced the results of the by-election held yesterday in the National Assembly constituency NA-213.
According to the results released by the Returning Officer, Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) Saba Talpur won the NA-213 Umerkot by-election by securing 161,934 votes.
According to the official results, independent candidate Lal Chand Malhi was in second place by securing 81,160 votes.
It is pertinent to note that the NA-213 Umerkot seat fell vacant after the death of PPP leader Nawab Yousaf Talpur.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has announced to celebrate the victory in the Umerkot by-election today in Hyderabad, calling it the result of the hard work of the workers.
On the other hand, independent candidate Lal Chand Malhi, rejecting the election results, staged a sit-in in front of the DRO office and announced a strike today.
