Special worship services are being held in churches to mark Good Friday

(Web Desk): The Christian community across Pakistan is observing Good Friday today with deep reverence, while preparations are underway for Easter celebrations on Sunday.
Special worship services are being held in churches to mark Good Friday.
Easter Eve, which falls on Saturday, will see Christian families engaging in festive shopping late into the night on both Friday and Saturday.
In preparation for the religious events, district administrations and police have finalized comprehensive security arrangements. Police commandos will be deployed at all churches, taking over security duties from 7am on Easter Sunday to ensure the safety of worshippers.
To add to the festivities, the Pakistan Horticulture Authority (PHA) and the Capital Development Authority (CDA) have completed special beautification projects in parks and lakes. New amusement rides have been installed, and parking facilities have been upgraded.
In a goodwill gesture, the federal and Punjab governments have released April salaries and pensions in advance for all government employees to help them celebrate the occasion with ease.
During Easter services, special prayers will be offered for peace, national prosperity, and the elimination of terrorism from the country.
