PDMA cancels weekend holidays (Saturday and Sunday) in response

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has canceled weekend holidays (Saturday and Sunday) in response.
Due to the hail and rain in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, windows of homes and cars were broken, and people sought shelter. Meanwhile, the PDMA has canceled the Saturday and Sunday holidays to deal with any potential emergency situation.
The PDMA has issued instructions to all officers and staff, including divisional-level reporting officers, stating that their attendance on April 19 and 20 is mandatory. According to the PDMA, this step has been taken to ensure timely reporting, effective coordination, and readiness to handle any possible emergency situation.
