Balakot: After a long closure of five months, the Kaghan Highway has been opened for traffic up to Naran.
The road was restored by cutting through the large glaciers on the Kaghan Highway. After the road is restored, tourists will be able to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Naran valley and the icy weather.
According to police officials, they will ensure that arrangements are completed for tourists in the valley and better facilities are provided. Arrangements for tourists in Naran will be completed in the next three days.
The National Highway Authority (NHA) officials say that work is underway to open the Kaghan Highway up to Babusar Top. The road from Naran to Babusar Top will be completely restored by the end of May.
It is pertinent to note that in November last year, the Kaghan Highway was closed for traffic due to snowfall, and Naran's land connection was cut off.
