CJ Yahya Afridi is paying visit to China and leading delegation at SCO Judicial Conference


Islamabad: Supreme Court Justice Mansoor Ali Shah took the oath of office as the acting Chief Justice.
According to the details, Senior Supreme Court Judge Justice Muneeb Akhtar administered the oath to Justice Mansoor Ali Shah. The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Supreme Court judges, the Attorney General, law officers, and lawyers.
Chief Justice Yahya Afridi is paying a visit to China and leading a delegation at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Judicial Conference.
According to the Supreme Court’s announcement, the SCO Judicial Conference will be held in Hangzhou, China, from tomorrow to April 26.
The delegation includes Justice Aminuddin, Justice Shahid Waheed, two judges of the district judiciary, District and Sessions Judge Gwadar Zafar Jan, and Senior Civil Judge District Lakki Marwat Nadia Gul Wazir.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan will sign a historic memorandum of understanding with China.
Chief Justice Yahya Afridi is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with judges from Iran and Turkey. He will also visit Turkey on a special invitation.
The Chief Justice will attend the 63rd anniversary celebrations of the Constitutional Court of Turkey.
