Arrested suspects have been identified as Aliza alias Kanwal Batool and Mola Bakhsh

Karachi: The mystery behind the discovery of a man’s body found in a suitcase near Safi Chowk in Abdullah Goth, Shah Latif Town, has been solved.
According to police, two suspects, including a woman, have been arrested in connection with the murder, and the murder weapon has been recovered.
As per the details, on Friday, the body of 30-year-old Asif Ali Lashari was found inside a suitcase near Safi Chowk in the jurisdiction of Shah Latif Town police station. Police registered a case of the blind murder and launched an investigation.
During the probe, police used technical methods to track down and arrest two main suspects involved in the killing. The arrested suspects have been identified as Aliza alias Kanwal Batool and Mola Bakhsh.
SHO Shah Latif Town, Ameen Khosa said that the deceased, Asif Ali, was a close friend of the female suspect Aliza, who planned the murder along with her new friend Mola Bakhsh.
The suspects had invited Asif to the house, where they brutally killed him by striking his head with a heavy hammer.
After the murder, the suspects placed the body in a suitcase and dumped it near a garbage site under the cover of night, fleeing the scene afterwards.
During interrogation, the female suspect, Aliza, confessed to planning and executing the murder.
The suspects also revealed that a personal dispute with the victim led them to plot his murder.
Police have recovered the hammer used in the crime along with other evidence. Both suspects have been handed over to investigators for further legal action.
