Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has appointed Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-e-Azam) leader and MNA Chaudhry Moonis Elahi as federal minister for water resources.

Earlier, the premier considered reshuffling the cabinet again and several key political figures were expected to get important posts.
But today only Moonis has been appointed as minister in Muhammad Faisal Vawda's place.
According to sources, major changes are expected in the federal cabinet after Eidul Azha and several leaders of Pakistan Muslim League- Quaid (PML-Q), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and other allies will be given ministerial level positions.
Sources revealed that PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi will also be given change of a ministry, while former Special Assistant of Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari will also be part of the cabinet again. No decision has yet been made on former federal minister Faisal Wada's rejoining the cabinet.
Some of the current ministers may also be sent home and consultations are underway in this regard, sources added.
