Pahalgam incident reflects Hindutva extremism, says Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law

(Web Desk): The recent Pahalgam incident has not only raised questions about the effectiveness of the 700,000 Indian troops stationed in occupied Kashmir but also exposed the Modi government’s controversial Hindutva policy.

Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and husband of Priyanka Gandhi, expose the BJP-led government, linking the incident to the spread of hate-fueled ideology. “When hateful ideologies are promoted, intense reactions are inevitable,” Vadra stated, as reported by Indian media.

He criticized the deteriorating condition of religious freedom in India, highlighting how minorities like Muslims and Christians are facing increasing oppression. “Mosques are being turned into temples, and churches are being set on fire,” he added.

Vadra warned that the rising sense of insecurity among minorities reflects a deep societal crisis. He termed the Pahalgam tragedy a possible consequence of the growing intolerance driven by Hindutva extremism.
